I have been on methadone for a long time, my friend told me to try a suboxone because I was curious if it would make me feel better, so I took a half of a 8mg tablet and nothing happened so I took my methadone dose I usually take, will my methadone work even though I took suboxone 30 minutes before? I'm looking for an answer from someone with prior experience please!!
This is a question too important to leave to people on this forum. Ask your doctor these types of questions.
My recent screw up with the program got me screwed every which way you can imagine. Especially being on probation .Got to keep in mind some of the ...
Obviously Methadone will not give a Vicodin buzz....

His life has been really destroyed, and so many specialist have been visited by him. I do not know the effects of Ritalin, but I heard that it is so dangerous. Please help me
First, read up about these two medication at these webpages:
Ritalin

Methadone

He should talk with his physician about ways to lessen his dependence on these medications; but he has to want to do something about it himself. That's where it has to begin.
For now, what you can do is to give your brother all the loving support he needs, especially if he's living with medical conditions which require him to take these medications. Do not get on his case or nag him about his use of these drugs. That will not help him at all.
10mgs 4 times aday..will it work..being you have methadone in ur systym..and it being a blocker?????????? 10 points explain???????????
i mean not taking the 2 together just the oxycodone!!!!
Here's what you do man. Space that 10mg's four times a day to where your last dose is at 6pm. Get the Melatonin for sleep and contrary to what a nurse told me, TAKE what you need to sleep. A doctor says people have taken up to 100mg's a night to sleep. I doubt you will need that much. In the A.M.Breakthrough.................
Save the Percocets for than so you DO not need to wait an hour for the Methadone to kick in and sit there and suffer. you need to take two, do it!
It is pointless to utilize the Percocets in Conjunction with the Methadone throughout the day. You are gonna need these things in the morning/ I know this will work. This is provided your dosage of Methadone is stable.
And tell these people you again are not on this because your a addict. Yea, the Perc's will work in the AM regardless of what is binding to M1 AND AND AND M2 receptors. To the green and the blue ones too! And pink one's. The Methadone is not gonna be that effecient in a 20mg dose holding out over 12 hours. It is gonna block the highest end that the Oxy would penetrate but on the low end it is gonna work. Trust me. You need this for break-thru and it will work. You aren't taking this stuff for ridiculous cravings!
Slow-Release Oral Morphine Versus Methadone – Detoxification ...
Measurements Efficacy analyses were based on the number of patients per treatment group completing the study, as well as on the control of signs and symptoms of withdrawal [measured using Short Opioid Withdrawal Scale (SOWS)] and suppression of opiate craving. In addition, self-reported somatic and psychic symptoms (measured using Symptom Checklist SCL-90-R) were monitored. Findings Of the 208 patients enrolled into the study, 202 were eligible for analysis (SROM: n = 102, methadone: n = 100). Completion rates were 51% in the SROM group and 49% in the methadone group [difference between groups: 2%; 95% confidence interval (CI): −12% to 16%]. The rate of discontinuation in the study was high mainly because of patients voluntarily withdrawing from treatment. No statistically significant differences between treatment groups were found in terms of signs and symptoms of opiate withdrawal, craving for opiates or self-reported symptoms. SROM and methadone were both well tolerated.
