but been on opids 4 3yrs..methadone 2 yrs..i got down to 20 Mg's then stopped now paying for it.. im not super bad..do have off and on cold sweats...the questshion is how long will the withdrawal from 20mgs last..its been 6 days since last 20 mg dose...not 4 heroin withdraws pain medicine..never did heroin be fore.....10 POINTS ASAP
Hey whats up man. I just went to my doctor today to talk to him about my addiction to pain pills and he set me up with a 2month plan to slowly wean me off soley for the purpose to keep me from having the terrible withdrawl symptoms. I think you should go find the best doctor you can and be totally honest with him and if he or she is any good then they will help you. My doctor gave me multiple options and I chose to be weaned off over rehab and quitting cold turkey. There are websites that rate doctors in your area. go to google.com and type in something like rate your doctor and you should find a website that hopefully will help you find a good doctor. I got my pain pills from doctors and also bought them from people and finally decided I want to be free from this addiction and just poured it all out to my doctor. I have never done any hard drugs or anything either just pain pills and marijuana and thats what I told him. You can even go to a pain management doctor and they will do random blood tests and random pill counts until you are weaned off. Good luck man hope everything works out. Withdrawl sucks!

PORTSMOUTH — A city man charged with 13 crimes, most alleging he stole to support a heroin habit, reached a plea deal Tuesday that freed him from jail and commits him to methadone treatment.
Alan Danielson, 31, of 45 Anne Ave., was brought from county jail to Portsmouth District Court on Tuesday when he pleaded guilty to Class A misdemeanor counts of drug possession, theft by unauthorized taking and receiving stolen property. The drug charge was reduced from a felony. Two counts of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon were dismissed and eight remaining charges were placed on file for two years with conditions.
Those conditions include Danielson's good behavior for two years, weekly reporting to a methadone clinic, regular counseling and being subject to random drug testing. A one-year jail sentence for the drug possession conviction was deferred for two years. Danielson was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail, with 23 days suspended, and given 67 days of pretrial confinement credit.
